Miss Vietnam – Phan Thi Huong Giang Phan has won the Miss Global Beauty Queen 2011 – Miss Internet Popularity 2011 Contest. As this is a fast track event, she now advances into the semi finals of Miss Global Beauty Queen 2011. Vietnam model ranked second on Global Beauty

Phan Thi Huong Giang, who represents Vietnam at the Miss Global Beauty Queen competition held in Seoul, South Korea from May 3-10, is currently being voted as the second most beautiful girl on category “Miss Global Beauty Internet Popularity”.

So far, the 22-year-old model is among the top 5 with 7,860 votes, second only to Miss Romania with 10,010 votes.

Miss Lithuania, Korea, and America are now coming in the third, fourth, and fifth place respectively.

As the first runner-up in the 2009 Miss Jewelry contest in Vietnam and having experience doing fashion shows overseas, the 1.7m-tall Giang measures 86-61-91.

Giang said she is confident of a good show and will try to represent as a modern and dynamic Vietnamese woman.

Miss Global Beauty Queen, which debuted in 2005, seeks to help the less fortunate people and victims of natural disasters around the world.

Themed Beauty with a heart, the competition attracted contestants from 60 countries and territories including the US, Japan, and China.

Contestants need to go through several pre-qualifying rounds like talents, traditional clothes, bikinis before attending the finale on May 10.

Huong Giang will participate Miss Global Beauty 2011

Phan Thi Huong Giang:
Phan Thi Huong Giang, second runner-up of Miss Jewelry 2009 pageant, will be the Vietnamese representative at the Miss Global Beauty Queen 2011 pageant, in Seoul, South Korea.

The beauty pageant will gather over 60 contestants from many countries. With the theme “Beauty with Heart”, the pageant will raise fund for orphans, the elderly who suffer from illness and victims of natural disasters in the world.

Before the final night, contestants will compete in traditional costume, evening gown, swimwear, talent competitions and a charity auction.

The audience can vote for their favorite contestants on website http://vote.missglobalbeauty.org/vote/vote.php. The top-voted contestant will enter the semi-final round (top 15). After the final night on May 10, contestants will pay a visit to Jeju Island and return home on May 12.

On the pageant’s website, Vietnamese representative had 150 votes by April 27. Miss Lithuania took the lead with 2410. Huong Giang, 21, is currently a PR officer for a big group in Vietnam.

She said she will bring several Vietnamese ao dai, designed by Lan Huong, and evening gowns designed by Hoang Hai to South Korea. Earlier, Vietnam’s Diep Hong participated in this pageant in 2005.
